Take this one with a grain of salt. According to the Houston Chronicle, the Cubs have interest in 'stros 2B Jeff Kent. Part of me thinks okay, Kent has been a good player and put up some good numbers this past year. The other part of me hates this guy. He would be a cancerous presence in an already questionable locker room. I don't know. I guess the Hendry is looking at all his options.
Can you imagine a Cub clubhouse with Sosa and Kent? Hide the Boombox.

Staying in Texas, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports that Todd Walker visited the Rangers over the weekend. The Rangers have Walker atop their list to increase offensive production.
SI named the Red Sox their Sportsmen of the Year.
