East Lake View Neighbors Group threatens Cubs

No professional sports franchise has the relationship the Cubs have with their surrounding community.

The Cubs proposal to have a concert at Wrigley Fd. this labor day has already drawn criticism from Charlotte Newfeld. In today's Sun-Times the East Lake View Neighbors (a 300 member group) has announced that they will fight the Cubs with legal action.

Now wouldn't the reasonable thing be to wait and see the Cubs proposal before you threaten legal action? It would be, if you had rational neighbors. These vocal minority groups are a real issue in Wrigleyville. They paint with a broad brush and act like they are speaking on behalf of the neighborhood. The reality is these groups just want to extort something from the Tribsters.
