SeriesPreview: Cubs @ Padres May 5-8

The struggling Cubs(14-13, 5.0 GB) head to beautiful San Diego for a 4 game weekend-wraparound series with the Padres(13-15, 2.5 GB). Petco Park is one of my favorite new ballparks in the National League. The place is just gorgeous.

The Cubs are running into another hot team. The Padres just swept a short 2 game series in LA vs. the Dodgers. They have won 5 in a row. This right on top of a streak that sa the Padres lose 5 in a row. (You see Cub fans you can turn these things around.)

Carlos Zambrano looks to get his season on track tonight at pitcher friendly Petco Park. This should be a great opportunity for Carlos to stop the Cub current skid. The Cub offense is gonna have to scratch and claw to get runs in this park(what else is new).
