The '95 Cubs were not scheduled to open in Cincy. The strike, that cancelled the '94 World Series, made this opener possible. This was the first game under the MacPhail/Lynch/Riggleman regime. At that time I was just happy that the Himes & Treblehorn were mercifully gone. The '95 team would finish 2 games over at 73-71. It was actually the teams second winning season in three(the Lefebvre team in '93 was the other). The Opening Day starter for the 1995 Cubs...Jim Bullinger.
