newly-minted free agent aramis ramirez will, despite having had two consecutive off days thanks to schedule and weather, be given a third -- and maybe significantly more.
ramirez's wrist has, it is being revealed, been bothering him since spring and has swollen during the off days. he is scheduled to see a specialist this weekend and will probably miss at least a few games, pending diagnosis.
mark derosa is also experiencing back pain and will miss today's game with the reds.
