SeriesPreview: Reds @ Cubs April 11-13

Tuesday afternoon at Wrigley Field the Cubs and Reds will start a three game series. The Reds come in a surprising 4-2 on the season. They'll play a Cub team that is off to a 4-1 start following Michael Barrett's heroics on ESPN's Sunday night baseball.

1060west guru John Dooley pointed this factoid out to us earlier today:
The Reds are 67-52 at Wrigley since August of 88. The Reds ALWAYS seem to play well here if you take away 01 and 03 against them at Wrigley.

So we shouldn't overlook this Reds team. I know I won't.

I don't really care for the pitching matchup on Tuesday. Still, we know the Cubs can hit Arroyo. I like Maddux versus Claussen and Z versus Milton should be pretty entertaining. The Cubs need to keep up the quick start. Let's hope Rusch and Z can eat up some quality innings and hope Greg Maddux keeps on being Greg Maddux. I expect three exciting afternoon games this week at the ballpark.
